These are planning ranges from completed work, not quotes. Equipment age, brand, parts availability and access all affect the real number. Your written estimate is the binding figure.
Cost Drivers
What moves a repair bill up or down
Two identical fryers can cost very different amounts to fix. These are the factors that decide it, and several are within your control.
- What actually failed. A thermostat is a small part. A compressor or control board is a different conversation entirely.
- Parts availability. Common parts come off the truck. Obsolete parts on older or imported units can take days and cost more.
- Maintenance history. Dirty condensers and neglected gaskets cause most of the failures we see, and they cost more to fix than to prevent.
- Access. Equipment wedged into a line, on a mezzanine or behind fixed millwork adds labor time.
- Timing. Standard hours cost less than after hours and Sunday calls.
- How long it ran broken. A unit run hard while failing usually takes more parts with it.

Money Questions
Billing and terms
Why is there a diagnostic fee?
Because diagnosis is the actual skilled work. The $145 covers travel and the first hour on site, and if you approve the repair it is credited toward it, so you never pay for that hour twice.
Will I know the price before you repair?
Always. The technician diagnoses, then gives you a written estimate covering parts and labor. Nothing beyond diagnosis happens until you approve it.
How are parts priced?
Parts are quoted separately from labor with the part number shown. Maintenance plan customers receive 10 percent off parts.
What payment do you accept?
Card, check and ACH. Service calls are typically due on completion. Established accounts and maintenance plan customers can be set up with net terms on approval.
Is the maintenance plan worth it?
For a kitchen running heavy volume, usually yes. Most plan customers save more in avoided breakdowns, reduced labor rates and waived diagnostic fees than the plan costs, and they get scheduling priority when something does fail.
Do you charge extra for after hours?
Yes, after hours and Sunday calls carry an additional $180, subject to technician availability. Our standard hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
How do remodel payments work?
Remodels follow a milestone schedule written into your contract, typically a deposit at signing with progress payments as defined phases complete. The final payment follows the punch list walkthrough.
